The Four Food & Cooking Trend's We're Excited About in 2019

With 2019 in full swing, we're calling out the top four trends we've seen, and are excited about trying in 2019. Either for health & wellness purposes, or just to beef up our culinary chops, this is what we're kicking the year off with.

Celery Juice

Taking a page out of our advisor, Hannah Bronfman's book (quite literally - Do What Feels Good releases next week!) We're super excited about kicking off the new year incorporating celery juice into our routine. Known for improvements in gut health, great source of fiber and tons of vitamins we love the idea of a simple green juice to start our day.

Expanding Our Pantry

As you probably know by now from our gift guide, we're big fans of unique pantry items. From hot honey to corners of the earth spice blends, it's a simple and relatively inexpensive way to amplify any dish. Some things we're really excited to work with in 2019? Black Garlic and Za'atar. With tons of inspiration on how to use these unique items - we can't wait to beef up our pantry. 

Bone Broth 

With the rise of places like Brodo in NYC, we're excited to try this trend. Either make your own or buy online, bone broth is a great meal supplement full of collagen, vitamins and the good fats.  We're thinking this trend won't only help you feel great, but look great too. 

Fermenting More Than Cucumbers 

Thanks to Brad Leone at Bon Appetit, we've got the fermentation bug. Between his awesome videos, and Noma's most recent cookbook , with exclusively fermentation recipes, we're super excited about the funky things we can make with the right equipment. Beyond a cool new hobby, fermted food and drinks are great for gut health and digestion, making it the first win-win of 2019.
